Kristi Krueger has built a solid reputation as an award-winning medical reporter and effervescent anchor. She joined Local 10 as co-anchor of the 5:30 p.m. newscast and Eye On Health reporter in August 1993. After many years co-anchoring the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., Kristi now co-anchors the noon, 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. newscasts and reports on health issues in "Kristi's Good Health" -- giving her more time in the evening with her family.

She is married to Todd Templin, and has two children, Troy and Kelsie.

Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) has been named Red Ribbon Champion for 2007. They are launching a three month system wide flag pole campaign on all of their expressways carrying the message that drugs, drinking and driving don’t mix. Close to 500,000 drivers per day ride on MDX Expressways!

In addition, they will be distributing 50,000 Red Ribbon pins to their drivers.

And to top it off, they will be underwriting the cost for 500 copies of the beautifully written and illustrated book “The Red Ribbon- a Story of Hope” that will be sent to 300 elementary schools in Miami-Dade, libraries, after-care programs, parks and recreation departments and youth centers throughout the county.

Baptist Health has also received recognition as an Informed Families Red Ribbon Champion for 2007. They are planning a major celebration by decorating all of their buildings with the Red Ribbon message that will reach thousands of residents throughout South Florida.

They are also planning major campaigns in all of their locations and will be distributing thousands of Red Ribbon customized car magnets to their employees and community partners.

When you see someone with the magnets on their cars you will know that Baptist Health is helping our kids grow up “Safe, Healthy and Drug Free.

Once again, The Miami Herald has signed on as a major partner of Red Ribbon Week Celebration and has received the recognition of Red Ribbon Sponsor for 2007! The company will be running a week long public service campaign in their newspapers during the week, October 23-31, 2005. The campaign is estimated to reach over 2,000,000 readers!

One of Informed Families staunchest supporters over the years, the MDPD will decorate their stations in nine districts, including headquarters and hold a contest for best decorated station. The winner is picked by a panel of Informed Families friends and volunteers.

If you haven’t ever seen a decorated station during Red Ribbon Week you should take a drive and see the effort our law enforcement partners put into spreading the message!

We salute our friends in the Miami-Dade Police Department for all they do to help our efforts!

One of our long time supporters is back again! Bill Ussery Motors has been running a Red Ribbon Celebration Week Campaign as long as we can remember and we know we can always count on them to do a really eye catching display.

They will also be handing out Red Ribbon bracelets to all of their employees and will be distributing 300 car magnets to their customers.

New to the Red Ribbon Week Celebration, the City of Miami Police Department will be hanging a 10 X 30 foot banner at their headquarters facing I-95. Thousands of drivers will see the banner coming into and leaving downtown Miami with the Red Ribbon message!

Thank you, City of Miami Police for joining in Informed Families county-wide campaign to promote our message the drugs and drinking are not cool!

The Miami Children’s Museum is partnering with Informed Families this year by distributing 1000 Red Ribbon satin ribbons with the message Drug Free--The Red Badge of Courage.

They will also be hanging a 10 x 40 foot banner facing the McArthur Causeway on the way to Miami Beach that will be noticed by thousands of drivers heading to the Beach.

The Museum will also have a read-in during Red Ribbon Week during their Wonderful Wednesday’s program of The Red Ribbon Story.
