Oct 20 – Recognition and Proclamation from Broward County Commission

Sponsored by Commissioner Barbara Sharief. Board Member Richard DeNapoli attended. Informed Families CEO & President, Peggy B. Sapp, accepted the proclamation. COO Yasmin Mendoza and NFP's Marketing and Communications Director Audri Amoro were in attendance.

Oct 23 – Red Ribbon Week Kickoff Event @ Joe's Stone Crab

Commissioner Sally Heyman, MDPD Director Alfredo Ramirez, Miami Dade Community College Security Director, Yakerie Fernandez and Steve Sawitz. We missed Lorenzo Butler, of The Miami Heat. The lunch was to Kick Off Red Ribbon Week and to thank the following buildings for going RED.

Oct 23 - Miami Landmarks go RED for Red Ribbon Week

MDC's Freedom Tower, AmericanAirlines Arena/The Miami Heat and Miami Tower went Red to celebrate the start of Red Ribbon Week on October 23, 2020 at sunset. 

 

The Red Ribbon Mask Challenge

Thank you to everyone who participated in the #RedRibbonMaskChallenge by wearing a Red Ribbon-Themed Mask during Red Ribbon Week! Special shoutout to Commissioner Sally Heyman & Butch Davis for going above and beyond in supporting the challenge!

 

Oct 27 — Unveiling of USPS Drug Free America Forever Stamp

In attendance Acting Director of the DEA, Shea, Postmaster General of the United States, DeJoy, Miss America 2020, Peggy Sapp, President of NFP and Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership. The stamps are available now online and at your post office. The Post Office receives more than 30,000 request a year to create a stamp about different issues, the process sorts the most pressing issues facing America and creates about 20 stamps per year.
