What Is Lock Your Meds?: Lock Your Meds® is a national multi-media campaign designed to reduce prescription drug abuse by making adults aware that they are the “unwitting suppliers” of prescription medications being used in unintended ways, especially by young people. Produced by National Family Partnership®(NFP) and promoted in Florida by Informed Families, the campaign includes a wide array of high-quality advertisements, posters, educational materials, publicity opportunities, interactive games and slide show presentations, and this website, where visitors can learn more and ask questions.
Campaign Date: Lock Your Meds is celebrated during January-February.

What Is Safe Homes Smart Parents?: Safe Homes Smart Parents is a statewide initiative developed by Informed Families and implemented by parents of teens and preteens to ensure that drugs, alcohol and cigarettes will not be permitted at parties held in their homes and discouraged at parties in the community.
Campaign Date: Safe Homes Smart Parents is celebrated during March-May.

What Is Family Day?: Family Day, which takes place the Fourth Monday of September, emphasizes regular family dinners and other opportunities to connect as an effective way to prevent drug use and other risky behaviors.
Campaign Date: Family Day is September 28, 2020. Schools often promote it for a week or two prior to the actual date.

What Is Red Ribbon Week?: Red Ribbon Week was created by the National Family Partnership after the death of DEA Agent Kiki Camarena in Mexico in 1985. It is an opportunity to show your support for a drug free America - and to talk to your children about making healthy choices. Informed Families is delighted to share tools and tips below to help you make the most of Red Ribbon Week.
Campaign Date: Red Ribbon Week is celebrated every year October 23-31st.
