In the coming weeks, the Senate is expected to vote on a must-pass funding bill. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Richard Shelby should be keenly aware that some of their pro-marijuana colleagues are trying to use sneaky tactics to attach big federal giveaways to the marijuana industry to a must-pass spending bill.

The House bill is supported by many of the same organizations that fought against Florida’s medical marijuana amendment, and largely opposed by medical marijuana advocates.
