It’s because we are equipping you to live a healthy drug free life and to pass it on to those around you; especially your children.

Over the years it has been interesting to watch people act like, “You’re not talking to me are you?”

Yes YOU! We are talking to YOU. Prevention talks directly to everyone…no exceptions.

The trends in social service funding targets specific populations with titles like: High risk, underserved, and provide little funding for Universal Prevention; ignoring the fact that the entire population is a high risk for drug use and abuse.

By not speaking to the entire population we unwittily create second class citizens of those we target. How? By placing labels on them and ignoring the social "do drugs messages" society is creating and reinforcing.

Since drug use is a disease of DENIAL AND BLAME, we let the people not targeted off they feel that we are not talking to them but to the "poor unfortunate".  We need both UNIVERSAL AND TARGETED PROGRAMS TO BE EFFECTIVE IN CREATING HEALTHY BEHAVIORS.

Our campaigns focus on creating social interaction and healthy communities. Without healthy communities, individual cannot thrive. So put on that Red Ribbon Mask and become a walking billboard for helping kids grow up safe, healthy, and drug free.

About Us

We teach people how to say no to drugs and how to make healthy choices. To reduce the demand for drugs, Informed Families has focused its efforts on educating and mobilizing the community, parents and young people in order to change attitudes. In this way we counteract the pressures in society that condone and promote drug and alcohol use and abuse. The organization educates thousands of families annually about how to stay drug and alcohol free through networking and a variety of programs and services .
