The 38th Annual Informed Families Fundraising Dinner at Joe’s Stone Crab was celebrated on May 15th by generous donors, colleagues, and friends who gathered to enjoy Joe’s World-Famous Claws while supporting the cause of helping kids grow up safe, healthy, and drug-free. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Steve Sawitz, Joann Bass, and the entire Joe's staff for their legendary food and impeccable service. This year's theme, "Bringing Generations Together," highlights the importance of fostering strong connections between different age groups, which serves as a protective factor for kids. It was wonderful to see so many attendees who have never missed an Informed Families Joe's Event, and together we have built a strong community through our shared impact at Joe's.

Thanks to the incredible support received, Informed Families successfully raised over $250,000. This significant achievement will enable Informed Families to reach more than 3.2 million children and their families, both statewide and online, with positive prevention messages and valuable resources.

We would like to extend a special acknowledgment to our Emerald Claw Sponsors:

  • Christopher E. Knight | Fowler White Burnett, P.A.
  • Coral Gables Trust Company

We also express our gratitude to our Colossal Claw Sponsors:

  • Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty
  • Adam E. & Chanin Carlin and Richard B. Bermont & Anne M. Levy
  • Podhurst Orseck, P.A.

Once again, we sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the success of the 38th Annual Informed Families Dinner at Joe's Stone Crab. Your support is invaluable in helping us create a safer and healthier environment for our children.

About Us

We teach people how to say no to drugs and how to make healthy choices. To reduce the demand for drugs, Informed Families has focused its efforts on educating and mobilizing the community, parents and young people in order to change attitudes. In this way we counteract the pressures in society that condone and promote drug and alcohol use and abuse. The organization educates thousands of families annually about how to stay drug and alcohol free through networking and a variety of programs and services .
